Community Involvement
Part of Tom's involvement in the community consists of holding seminars at PACTT Learning Center. Parents Allied with Children and Teachers for Tomorrow, (PACTT) is a not-for-profit agency working to serve individuals with autism and their families. He has also held seminars at parent support groups for Easter Seals and Community Options Inc. both located in the Chicagoland area.
Planning for an individual with special needs requires an in-depth knowledge of federal laws and government eligibility. It is Tom's goal to guide these families in making the right decisions for their child’s future.
As of 2006, Tom Canale was appointed Board Member of the CARC. CARC empowers children and adults with developmental disabilities to utilize focused networked services in education, support and vocational training
